A website you do not have to think about

Backups, monitoring, updates and small changes — every month, without your involvement. You hear about a problem from us, not from a customer.

  • Daily backups, with a check that they can actually be restored
  • Uptime monitoring every 5 minutes, around the clock
  • Hours for changes are included in the plan and do not expire

Why a website needs ongoing maintenance

A website is not a painting on the wall: it runs on someone else's server, depends on dozens of third-party components and gradually ages on its own. After a year without attention three things pile up: uninstalled security updates, the absence of working backups, and slowly growing load time.

The most expensive of these is the absence of backups. A site can be lost not only through a hack: there are hosting failures, a botched plugin update or a careless edit. If there is no backup, or nobody has ever checked it, recovery turns into rebuilding from scratch.

When maintenance pays for itself

The site has already gone down

And you found out from a customer, not from a monitoring system. How long it had been down before that — nobody knows.

There are no backups

Or they exist somewhere at the host, but nobody has ever checked whether they can be restored.

Updates are postponed for years

The CMS and plugins are long out of date because updating is scary: what if everything breaks. Every month of delay makes the update riskier.

Nobody to do the small changes

Change a price, add a page, swap a banner — every time you have to find someone and negotiate again.

The site has already been hacked

Or you have seen strange redirects or foreign pages. Without regular updates it will happen again.

The site is slowly getting heavier

With every new banner, widget and script it loads longer. Nobody watches this until it gets really bad.

Keeping the data safe — daily

  • Backups of files and the database

    Daily, automatically, without your involvement.

  • Kept for 30 days

On separate storage, not on the same server as the site.

  • Restore checks

We regularly verify that a working site really comes up from the backup.

  • Restore on request

Roll the site back to any day within 30 days.

Monitoring — around the clock

  • Uptime check every 5 minutes

We react to an outage instead of waiting for a customer's call.

  • Alerts to us and to you

The moment the site stops responding.

  • Domain and SSL control

Expiry dates, so the site does not go down over an expired certificate.

  • Speed and errors in Search Console

We watch the numbers before they become a problem.

Updates and security — monthly

  • Updates on a test copy

The CMS, theme and plugins are updated first on a copy, then on the live site.

  • Closing known vulnerabilities

By the CVE lists for what you have installed.

  • Protecting the admin area and forms

Against password brute force and spam.

  • Clearing out the excess

Abandoned plugins, old backups, temporary files on the server.

Changes on request — hours from the package

  • Texts, prices, images, banners

    What changes most often.

  • New pages and sections

In the style of the existing site.

  • Small functional improvements

    A form, a filter, a block — within the plan's hours.

  • Advice on the site and hosting

Questions about the site are work too, and they are included in the package.

Plans

Unused hours roll over to the next month within the package. If the hours run out, extra work is billed at the standard hourly rate, with no surcharges.

Set up maintenance

First we bring the site to a state that can be maintained, and only then take it on a retainer. If the site is neglected, we will say honestly what it costs to put it in order, and will not charge for maintaining something that is going to go down anyway.

Frequently asked questions

Yes, they are most of our maintenance clients. First we look at the state: code, access, updates, backups. If everything is in order, we take it on right away. If the site is neglected, we first put it in order as separate work and only then move it to a retainer.

Monitoring checks availability every five minutes and sends an alert immediately. On the basic plan we react within the working day, on the working plan within two hours, on the store plan within an hour regardless of the time of day.

No, they roll over to the next month within the package. You cannot accumulate them endlessly — the ceiling is twice the monthly package, otherwise it stops being maintenance and becomes a bank of hours.

That is the basic plan — $100 per month, with hours for changes as a bonus. There is no cheaper option: setup and control take roughly the same time regardless of the site's size.

No, and that is a matter of principle. Auto-updates are the most common cause of broken layouts. We install updates first on a test copy, check the key pages and forms, and only then roll them out to the live site.

We restore it from a backup, find the entry point and close it. For sites on maintenance this is included in the price — we do not bill it separately.

Yes, with one month's notice. No annual contracts. When we part ways we hand over all backups and access — the site is yours, we hold nothing hostage.
