Specialised software for a task with no off-the-shelf answer

A 2D/3D house and plot planner, graphics and calligraphy editors, constructors for print products and packaging, calculators, a licensing system, a platform with 130+ automated scenarios — we have built these things and know where the real difficulty lies.

  • We take on tasks with no ready answer on the market — when a template or a plugin will no longer help
  • Prototype before code: the logic and the screens are agreed while they are still cheap to change
  • Some of our products are still in development — we say so plainly instead of presenting them as finished

What we have already built

2D/3D house and plot planner

Walls with thickness, windows and doors, furniture, trees and shrubs. Shadows are calculated by time of day and season. The product is still evolving.

Graphics and calligraphy editors

Layers, brushes, fonts and export — all in the browser, nothing to install.

Business-card and flyer constructor

The user assembles a layout from blocks, changes texts and colours and downloads a print-ready file.

Packaging constructor

A box die-line for given dimensions, graphics applied to the faces, layout prepared for print.

Calculators

Price calculation by the business’s own formulas: parameters, dependencies between them, an estimate at the end.

Licensing system

Issuing, verifying and renewing licences, binding to a site — for our own plugins and products.

What development includes

  • Task analysis and prototype

First we establish what exactly the program must do and who will use it — then we draw the screens.

  • Architecture for the data and the load

The data and calculation structure is laid out so that it does not have to be rewritten in a year.

  • An interface that needs no manual

For a tool used every day the main thing is that nobody has to learn it.

  • Tests on the key logic

Formulas, die-lines, shadow calculations — wherever a mistake is expensive, tests cover it.

Technical base

  • Runs in the browser

No installation or updates on the client side; opens from any device.

  • 2D/3D graphics in the browser

Canvas and WebGL — the planner, the editors and the constructors are built on them.

  • Export to working formats

PDF, SVG, PNG and print-shop files — with correct dimensions and margins.

  • API for other systems

So the program can be embedded in your website or client area.

After launch

  • The code and repository are yours

No dependence on us: any team can continue development.

  • Documentation of the logic

Formulas, rules and constraints are described in words, not only in code.

  • Development in stages

New capabilities are added in blocks, each estimated separately.

  • Support

The month after launch is included; after that a retainer or hourly work.

How we run the project

  1. 01

    Task analysis

What the program does, for whom, what data goes in and what must come out. Here we also check whether a ready solution really does not exist.

  2. 02

    Prototype

A clickable scheme of screens without design. For editors and planners — also a technical prototype of the key mechanism.

  3. 03

    Estimate in stages

We split the program into blocks with their own price and deadline. The first block is the one that brings value earliest.

  4. 04

    Development in blocks with demos

Every two weeks we show a working piece — not a presentation, but a program you can try.

  5. 05

    Launch, handover, support

We deploy, hand over the code and documentation, and support for a month. After that — development from your list.

What development costs

Specialised software is priced by the complexity of the logic and graphics, not by the number of screens. The figures below come from our practice; the exact price follows the prototype.

Single-function tool
from$1,500
one-time

A calculator, a generator or a constructor with one layout type.

  • Task analysis and prototype
  • One key function
  • Export to PDF or image
  • Responsive interface
  • Tests on the formulas
Delivery: 6–8 weeks
Describe the task
Platform
from$12,000
one-time

Several tools in one system, roles, automated scenarios, integrations.

  • Everything in the second tier
  • 2D/3D mechanics or complex calculations
  • Roles and access rights
  • Automated scenarios
  • API for external systems
Delivery: from 5 months
Describe the task

What stands behind the words "custom-built"

We do not resell templates. Every item in the list above was made by us from scratch for a specific task: the house planner calculates shadows by time of day and season, the packaging constructor builds a die-line for given dimensions, the licensing system verifies keys for our own plugins. That is the evidence that we can handle yours.

In fairness: some of these products are still in development, and we do not present them as finished. This page does not sell them — it sells development, the ability to make a tool that does not exist yet.

An example of scale: a platform in which more than 130 automated scenarios run today — it is deployed and serves real tasks.

When custom software is the right call

It is worth looking for a ready solution first: if there is a tool on the market that covers your task for reasonable money, development will be more expensive and slower, and we will say so at the first meeting. Custom software is justified when the task is unique to your business, when ready solutions force you to bend your process to fit them, or when the tool itself becomes a product you offer to clients.

In all three cases we start the same way — with task analysis and a prototype. That stage can be ordered separately: you get a scheme and an estimate you can take to any contractor.

Frequently asked questions

A single-function tool — a calculator or a simple constructor — from $1500 and 6–8 weeks. An editor or constructor with graphics in the browser — from $4500 and three months or more. A platform with several tools and roles — from $12000. The exact estimate comes after the prototype.

Yes — the mechanics of 2D/3D planning, objects on a canvas and geometry calculations are proven in our work. We keep developing the planner, so we know which parts are hard and which are not, and we will say so at the analysis stage.

Web: it runs in the browser on a computer or tablet, updates centrally and needs no installation. If the task requires working offline or accessing hardware, we discuss that separately — it is a different class of solution.

You do. After payment we hand over the repository, the documentation of the logic and the access. Any team can continue developing the program, not only us.

A prototype — 1–2 weeks after the start. The first working block you can open in the browser and try — in 4–6 weeks. After that the next one is added every two weeks.

Mobile apps with deep operating-system integration, embedded software and high-frequency real-time systems are not our specialty. We say so straight away and, if we know, suggest whom to approach.
